¼ cup (60ml) bourbon

⅓ cup (80g) light brown sugar

2 tablespoons (30ml) apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons (30ml) tomato paste

½ teaspoon (2.5g) smoked paprika

½ teaspoon (2.5g) garlic powder

Pinch of cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce

  1. In a big skillet, brown the bottom beef and onion over medium heat. Drain off any extra grease.
  2. Stir within the BBQ sauce, bourbon, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook dinner till thickened, about quarter-hour.

Combine bourbon, brown sugar, honey, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan.
