Cinnamon Roll Biscuits: A Southern Twist On A Classic

– In a big bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
– In a separate bowl, whisk collectively the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
– Add the wet elements to the dry components and stir until just mixed.
– Turn the dough out onto a frivolously floured floor and knead for a few seconds, until it comes together into a smooth ball.
– Place the dough in a greased bowl, cowl it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a heat place for 1 hour, or till it has doubled in dimension.

7. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.
8. Roll up the dough tightly, ranging from one of the long sides.
9. Cut the roll into 12 even slices.
10. Place the slices on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400 diploma oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

To assemble and bake:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch spherical baking dish.
Separate each can of biscuits into 10 biscuits. Place 1 biscuit within the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining biscuits, placing them in a circle.
In a medium bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the biscuits.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or till the biscuits are golden brown and the cinnamon-sugar combination is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for five minutes before serving.
